A free day of workshops on audio recording, website building, poetry writing, video editing, and DJing, with touring and local workshops:
Hadassah Hill workshops teach individuals and activist collectives how to use freeware and shareware technologies [ie, no-cost software] to:
1) record and edit audio for online distribution
2) name, create [yup, how-to code!], and publicize a web page
3) utilize technologies and networking to promote their projects.
She provides learners with a handout and a webpage full of links and tutorials, as well as inspiration and skills!
Hadassah has worked in independent print, web, theater and audio media production for 10 years, and is currently the Art Director of the award-winning $pread Magazine. She is committed to empowering individuals to speak for themselves using new technologies, and to creating representations of the diverse communities she embodies using self-taught multimedia techniques.

1:45 welcome, intro to event, brief history of the space and it's east austin context
2:-3:30 Hadassah's web presence workshop, Drupal tutorials, and radio shadowing
3:45-5:15 Matt's video workshop, Erika's poetry workshop, drupal
5:15-6 dinner break, radio
6-7:30 Hadassah's audio recording workshop
